For the Love of ......! Animal Rescue Algarve

This time of Covid has been difficult for everyone. Amidst the last two years of chaos, our animal friends have been suffering too. In Portugal, where there are already many homeless dogs, numerous dog rescue centres have faced closure.
The Animal Rescue Algarve has remained a beacon of hope throughout these tough times, and is striving to find homes for its canine residents while coping with the day to day challenges and huge expenses it faces. Its workers are all local volunteers who dedicate their time and energy to this wonderful organisation.
We are hoping to help the ARA in their work by compiling a charity book of poems, stories and pictures, themed around our furry friends, with the help of you all. The publishing costs will be met by us and then all the funds from its sale, via this site, will go directly to the ARA.
Following the success of our most recent charity book, The Covid Collection, where so many people participated and helped raise over £1500 for NHS charities, we now hope we can raise a similar amount for the ARA. Please look out for our emails and messages in the near future and please participate creatively or monetarily - or even both!
